We stayed at Mariposa from March 27 through April 3. Fabulous! Loved the resort and the staff as well as the restaurant. We like smaller hotels that are more intimate and where you are treated like a member of the family rather than a guest number. The staff made the trip! Jason, Priscilla, Shefanie, Emma, Gladys, Marlon, George. Everyone was wonderful. If I left someone out I apologize! I highly recommend this hotel! - K and B Smith

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at the Mariposa Beach Resort. The place is stunning, the staff so friendly and helpful and the on site restaurant was fantastic. The hotel is just a short bike ride from the center of Placencia. The hotel has decent bikes that they can loan you to make the journey into town. The resort was the perfect size for us. Large enough to have the amenities we wanted, but small enough to feel intimate and personal. Whether we were hanging at the pool playing games (they have a well stocked selection at the bar), or hanging on our treehouse balcony, we enjoyed every moment of our trip. You could not ask for a more attentive and friendly staff.

This is a very nice resort, more of a hotel but that seems to be what the area consists of. I am happy with that as it was a very quiet relaxing place. The help is always ready to help you and they will give you rides to wherever you need to go. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. The beach area is like the rest of Belize and really struggling with the sargassum, they do there best to keep it clean. The biggest complaint we have would be the beach and pool chairs are outdated, very uncomfortable and need to be updated. The drink prices seemed to be a little higher than other places we visited in the area but wasn't a deal breaker. We would definitely go back again and hope to soon.

What a fantastic little place to stay! They greeted us with cool towels and cold drinks, with or without the rum. George showed us around and up to our room which overlooked the pool and the ocean. Beautiful view. Wonderful time. It's about 1 mile to the village which was great.

Our recent visit to the Mariposa Resort was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made us feel like family. With the resort's serene atmosphere and lush grounds, we couldn't help but feel a sense of tranquility wash over us. The resort's dining options featured the rich flavors of Belizean cuisine and fresh seafood caught that very day. Our room was very beautiful and exceptionally clean.

A little piece of sunny, sandy heaven!

Our three nights at the Mariposa Belize Beach Resort were a little piece of heaven! The treehouse rooms were charming, comfortable, and clean. We loved being able to launch our kayaks and SUPs straight from the beach, and then come back to relax (with a drink!) either on the beach or poolside. Food at at the restaurant was delicious and varied, and when we wanted to try something different, it was easy to head into Placencia to sample its offerings. All the staff were helpful and hospitable. We visited a dozen places in Belize, and this is at the top of my list for a return visit!
