Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Mutiara.

Plage de sable blanc magnifique, avec tout le nécessaire (transat) pour se poser à la plage et profiter. La plage est privé et accessible directement depuis l’hôtel qui se trouve littéralement sur la plage. Bungalow propres et fonctionnels, intégrés à la nature.

− La salle de bain est extérieure, ce qui n’est pas idéal si vous n’êtes pas très à l’aise avec les insectes.

Il resort è all'interno di una piccola foresta di palme e mangrovie. Il personale gentile e sempre disponibile. I pasti buoni. La spiaggia bianca bellissima e tranquilla.

− Il lavandino del bagno era molto piccolo e la doccia aveva solo acqua fredda

Genuinely 5 star service - meals and drinks can be ordered via Whatsapp and brought to restaurant, the beach or your room. The food is great, the juice is fresh and edits to the meals are always accommodated without question. The staff deserve a special mention for providing as much as they did, and always with a smile. The location has a very glamping feel to it - right in the middle of nature, much more luxurious than a tent but also far more of an 'outdoorsy' feel than a hotel room. Monkeys were visible from my window (walking and climbing a tree about 5m away) at one point during my 3 days there.

− Nothing bad really just know what you are getting into: no A/C and wearing the (freely provided) bug spray is not optional. Keep the mosquito net closed and you'll be fine. Finally, the showers use cold water which first thing in the morning isn't my thing but by lunch it was a great way to cool off.

Mutiara Beach Resort is situated in a quiet corner of Bintan, away from the more popular resort areas. My girlfriend and I visited over a weekend to celebrate her birthday, and it turned out to be such a lovely and memorable stay. Firstly, they made planning our trip exceptionally easy with their own taxi service, which was easily accessible from the ferry terminal itself. Upon reaching the resort, the check-in process was really quick, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the staff had decorated our room with balloons and birthday decorations. It was such a thoughtful touch and immediately made the stay feel special. The resort provided just the right amount of comfort while still preserving the experience of living simply and going back to basics. It felt peaceful, slow, and refreshing, which was exactly what we were looking for. The beach was immaculately clean, with clear waters and a beautiful stretch of sand that made the whole place feel even more relaxing. The food was also exceptionally good. We especially enjoyed the fish and chips, coconut latte, and nasi goreng, which were all really satisfying. During dinner, the staff even presented us with a complimentary brownie cake while singing and wishing my girlfriend a happy birthday. It was a very sweet gesture and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The staff throughout our stay were warm, friendly, and attentive. The bonfire at night was also a really cool experience, and we got to witness one of the clearest night skies we have seen in a long time from the beach. It made the whole evening feel very calm and special. Before we left, Marc, the host, greeted us on our way out and was very accommodating. He took the time to ask us about what we liked and disliked about our stay, which showed how much the team genuinely cares about their guests’ experience. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend at Mutiara Beach Resort and would most definitely come back for a longer stay soon.

− Sand flies were relentless during our time spent frolicking by the beach. Even after coating ourselves with insect repellent it seems to have no effect on them. But from reading the previous reviews this was expected, the beach was beautiful nonetheless.
