Augustino was the most wonderful host - so helpful, full of information and ideas of where to go. Having the beautiful pool was incredibly welcome in the hot weather.

− Nothing to dislike! A tip though - if stairs are an issue ask not to have the room at the very top.

A comfortable stay in an elegant villa in lovely gardens. A good base to explore Trapani and surrounding area.

The ambience of the property and its gardens was really lovely. The owner and other staff were very helpful with useful recommendations and also very kind with thoughtful gestures.

− I would have preferred a buffet breakfast.

Wspaniałe miejsce. Zielona wyspa wśród tętniącego miasta. Blisko do kolejki aby dostać się do Erice. Kilka minut marszu. Pan Gospodarz dokłada wszelkiej staranności aby pobyt stał się doskonałym. Willa, ogród, basen, kuchnia, obsługa jest na najwyższym poziomie. Gość tutaj czuje się " dopieszczony" Wyszukane śniadania, podane z najwyższą starannością. Bardzo smaczne. Jeśli masz ochotę możesz skorzystać ze strefy basenowej również z kieliszkiem zimnego napoju:) Doskonały kontakt z Właścicielem oraz pozostałą obsługą. Pokoje dopracowane, czystość nieskazitelna, wygodne łóżka, przestronne i pięknie umeblowane pomieszczenia. Bardzo dziękujemy za przyjęcie Nas i dbanie o nas na takim wysokim poziomie.

− kursowanie autobusów. szkoda , że komunikacja miejska nie jest mocną stroną tego miasta. Dobrze, że możesz zamówić taxi albo skorzystać z rowerów które ma do dyspozycji obiekt. Bezpośrednio nie dotyczy to Willi ale warto o tym wiedzieć. W mieście są parkingi więc, jeśli dostaniesz się do centrum miasta swoim autem jest gdzie zaparkować. Denerwowała nas również siesta. od godz. 15 do 19 w okolicy nie zjesz NIC i nie napijesz się NIC. Trzeba o tym pamiętać.

A wonderful stay in Trapani

Giardini Mon Plaisir was our favorite hotel during our recent vacation in Sicily. The building itself is an old family home that Agostino, the owner and our host, has updated into a lovely bed and breakfast. Our bedroom was quiet – indeed the whole house is very quiet even though it sits in an urban neighborhood – and well laid out. The second floor has a wonderful common sitting room. As a first introduction to Giardini Mon Plaisir we were given a refreshing drink outside in the large courtyard with antique statues. There is also a small pool available to guests. Breakfasts were wonderful. Excellent coffee, breads, ripe fruit and made to order scrambled eggs. The tables are set far apart providing plenty of privacy. The hotel is a little outside the historic center but one can take the bus or a cab to reach the historical center or other sites. If you arrive with a car, there is parking in front of the house behind the properties gate. As an added attraction there is a wonderful museum , Museo Regionale Agostino Pepoli, a three minute walk from the front gates. But what makes it most special is that Agostino is a perfect host. He suggested places to visit, helped with reservations and arranged cab rides for us. He also shared family stories and a bit of personal history. Roberto and other staff members are also warm and accommodating.

− There was nothing at the hotel that we didn't like. The neighborhood around the hotel didn't have much in the way of restaurants. There was a good counter service/take-out place a few blocks away but most restaurants are in the historic center.

A relaxing oasis of peace

This was our first visit to Trapani and the first time we’d stayed at Giardini Mon Plaisir. We hope it won’t be our last. Located a 10 minute drive from the historic centre of Trapani, Giardini Mon Plaisir is ideally placed to provide a base both for visiting Trapani and the surrounding area. On-site car parking was secure and the room we stayed in (the “studio”) was large and comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent and included sweet and savoury options. Giardini Mon Plaisir is a very professionally run establishment. From the moment we booked, the owner, Agostino, drip-fed welcoming and informative emails, explaining the location and its nearby attractions. On arrival, One of Agostino’s attentive staff, Roberto, took time to familiarise us with the location of the property in relation to Trapani and recommended restaurants. Agostino took time to speak to use each day with was very useful when selecting a beach to visit. The pre-prepared summary of potential locations to visit (a PDF) was very useful and led us to a memorable occasion which we wouldn’t have otherwise found. We’re very pleased we chose to stay at Giardini Mon Plaisir.
