Hervorragende Lage mitten im Zentrum. Gut eingerichtete Ferienwohnungen, sehr bequeme Betten. Freundliche Eigentümer.

− Fernseher haben teilweise nicht funktioniert. Loft Suite verfügt über keine Kochmöglichkeit. Treppe dort hinauf sehr steil, besonders mit Koffern. Das gesamte Haus ist sehr hellhörig, man hört die Nachbarn nicht nur in Treppenhaus, sondern auch in der Ferienwohnung reden und umherlaufen. Vor allem bei nächtlichen An- und Abreise ist dies störend.

Loved our stay! The loft has such gorgeous views and the beds are comfy.

− Kitchen is not the most well equipped (no cutting board/stove) but it’s got microwave and coffee & toaster! The bathroom drain doesn’t drain super well so it does tend to flood a bit when showering

Great location was just the beginning of this memorable stay. From the moment we arrived, we were treated as special guests. Accommodation were clean with four bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The place was charming and my family scored it a 5 out of 5, the best of the three other very nice facilities we stayed on our Iceland trip.

Suurepärane asukoht, kesklinnas, kuid ometi turistide ja pidutsejate lärmist eemal. Aedade rohelus ja linnulaul oli väga meeldiv. Kõrval paiknev skulptuuridega aed ühel pool ja mõnus kohvik teisel pool... Ja meri väikese hommikuse jalutuskäigu kaugusel.

− Lennukite lendamistihedus on suur, kui suvel on aknad lahti, võib see pisut üllatada. Kuid selles pole külalismaja pidajad mitte kuidagi süüdi. Ja ega see rahulikku vestlust takista.

Guest house with 'Character'

This review applies to the Loft Suite. Comments may or may not apply to other rooms as different rooms have very different features. Note that this is not a hotel with associated amenities. It is a guest house where you are staying in an older building more like the locals. I personally like that, but may not be for everybody. Pros: Hosts are super friendly and helpful Great location right next to the Hallgrimskirkja. Easy to walk to restaurants, grocery, etc. Bicycles (and helmets) available for guests Really good black-out shades. This sounds silly until you are there in June/July and it is light out 24 hrs/day The stairway to the room is very old and is steep and narrow. This is very cool, but would be a problem for anyone with mobility issues or large luggage. Facility has 'character'

− Cons: Low ceilings around the edges of the room because you are in a room just below the roof Hot water in the shower has a Sulphur smell. Because all hot water in the city is from hot springs, this may be true in many or all facilities around Reykjavik On street parking is free, but depending on day/time, you might not get a space right near the house.

Best Location and Comfort

We rented the Family Suite. It was clean, comfortable, well laid out, and very roomy, with a small kitchen and private bathroom. The communication was great, and late check in with the key box went smoothly. The location of Freyja guesthouse was the absolute best! There was free street parking, and we were able to walk to everything that we wanted to see and eat.
