Fantastic property- great for a big group. Just starting to look a bit tired and mucky in the communal areas.
7.0Size, location and lots of communal space . Bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely (some need a bit of basic maintenance)
− Communal areas (esp the bar) are great to have BUT need updating/refreshing and the kitchen needs a through deep clean etc

Large house with beautiful views
10.0The open plan living room was perfect for the children to run around. The outside verandah with beautiful views was amazing to sit and chill on. The children loved playing in the fields, such a fabulous place to stay and a bath in most bedrooms was a treat. I would stay here again. Windermere was only 15 minutes away for a drive out. My family highly recommend this place.

Highly recommended for such a visit.
9.0Perfect for a family new year (17 people). Wonderful position overlooking the Lyth Valley. Rooms have been upgraded to a high standard.
− Some issues due to staff shortage on the day of arrival which were dealt with.

8.0The location was excellent and fairly convenient for all the towns and destination around Windermere. The house was huge and the bedrooms very well appointed.
− Although all the bed linen was clean and fresh, one of the rooms had not been hoovered and the kitchen needed a good clean. Because we had run of the place, we just dealt with it. We did have a problem with one shower that couldn't be turned off after the tap sheered off unexpectedly. This was running for the whole weekend as there was no one available to look at it, and our efforts failed. We are a resourceful bunch and even a power cut which knocked the heating out didn't phase us! We just quietly got things sorted with as little fuss as possible. We had a really good stay and would go again. Perfect for a large group to chill.
