Clarence is een heel fijn dorp en een goede uitvalsbasis voor de Drakensbergen en Golden Gaten NP.
8.0De ligging is mooi met prachtig uitzicht op de bergen en op loopafstand van het gezellige centrum van Clarence met diverse winkeltjes, cafe's en eetgelegenheden. Breng zeker een bezoek aan de Brewery, heel gezellig en lekker eten. Clarence is daarnaast een hele fijne uitvalsbasis voor de Drakensbergen en Golden Gate National Park wat ook een prachtig park is met mooie (soms uitdagende) wandelingen.
− De inrichting van ons huisje (en dan met name de woonkamer/keuken) zijn wat gedateerd qua inrichting. Verder wel schoon. Badkamer en slaapkamers daarentegen waren super met hele fijne bedden! Wij zaten er in de winter (juli) waardoor we de bedden konden verwarmen wat heel fijn was. Ook is er een open haard in het huisje waar elke dag hout voor werd bijgevuld.
