10.0The views are absolutely superb. Request the 6th floor facing Miyagawa river if you can. Great space and facilities for a budget hotel, where you want to spend most your time in Takayama. Staff are very helpful and even dropped us off at the train station.

10.0I was given a room with two windows overlooking mountain range in the horizon. The hotel looks average on the exterior, but the service staff (very hospitable) and amenities (beverages, sweets and toiletries) more than make up for that. I was also allowed to check in earlier.
