Afternoon Tea is a real treat.
10.0On this occasion daughter and I went for a July Sunday afternoon tea. We chose a parasol table on the terrace overlooking the lawn overlooking miles. We ordered two champagne teas but as I was driving I passed my glass across. "Afternoon Tea - - - is a real treat" says the brochure, and so it was ! A house and setting right out of the National Trust, but much much better goodies. The house is worth seeing on its own account - the main stairs a marvel.
Graduation time
8.0Lovely Hotel , rooms too! We had a lovely two nights there . Staff friendly, good menu. But, we found that the staff haven't been trained enough . Slow on responses and not able to prioritise requests It has the opportunity to become a fantastic spot We will be back , if possible
Very disappointing stay
2.0Very disappointing experience, especially for a hotel marketed as a 4-star "luxury" property. We paid £170 for one night and expected a high standard of cleanliness and service. Unfortunately, the room was not up to standard. There were broken items, rubbish under the bed, fan was thick with dust that had to be cleaned for it to work, room was thick with dust throughout, making it feel poorly maintained and not worth the price we paid. The room service experience was equally disappointing. Our order arrived incomplete, and when I went to reception it took three members of staff to deal with the issue and arrange replacement drinks because the ones we had originally ordered were unavailable. Despite this, I still had to collect the missing items myself, yet we were charged the full room service fee. We also pre authorised £100 at check in for room service, we used £60 of this and when asking how long the reaming money not spent will take to return to my account i was informed up to 5 working days, it has now been that and still nothing, they advised me to contact my bank, passing it to someone else and given the impression they do not want to deal with my query. What makes this even more disappointing is that we stayed at Days Inn Warwick North M40 the night before for just £48. That room was spotless, well ventilated, comfortable and the staff were welcoming throughout our stay. Despite being a budget hotel, it delivered a far better experience than this hotel at more than three times the price. After our stay, I raised my concerns through Booking.com and the hotel itself and provided photographic evidence of the condition of the room. Unfortunately, Booking.com informed me they were unable to reach an agreement with the hotel, and no meaningful refund was offered. I still havent heard back from the hotel after they told me they have acknowledged my email and will look into this. Based on my experience, I do not feel this hotel offers the level of cleanliness, maintenance or service that I would expect from a 4-star luxury hotel, and I would not choose to stay here again. I have attached pictures for reference this was the cosy double room, I was hoping it wouldnt come to leaving this review but as the hotel will not acknowledge my complaints or deal with any matters professionally it is leading me to write this and I dont want someone else being in the same position. This full stay caused me unnecessary stress whilst being heavily pregnant.
Extremely poor quality hotel
1.0The area was lovely

6.0− When we arrived there was only one towel for two people, no shower mat, no hand soap and the painting on the wall fell on the floor because it wasn’t screwed in properly.
This hotel has the potential to be amazing but they need more staff & better service.
6.0The grounds, the main building, the decor were all great. Evening meal was also very good. Dog bed & bowls all provided. My daughter's ice packs for her insulin were stored in the freezer for us overnight.
− I originally booked 3 Snug Doubles and was told this wasn't dog friendly and I needed to upgrade 1 toom to a Cosy Double @ £40 per night in addition to the pet supplement of £20 / night. We had to challenge this on check out as the room for our dog to stay in was significantly smaller than others in our party. The staff were also inadequate - extensive wait time at reception and the bar.
When booking 4 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply.
