The room was dark. The overhead light was falling out of the ceiling and did not function. The water pressure was so weak that it was difficult to shower. The room was clean. The air worked. The amenities say it includes free shuttle service from the airport, but I wrote the hotel two days in advance with my flight information and they didn't respond. So, I had to pay for a taxi. There were three old matresses lined in the hallway upon entrance. It is inexpensive, but I felt there were some simple things they should have done if they truly cared about their property and their guests. We ended up leaving to stay at another hotel nearby where we received much better services.

MUY BUEN LUGAR DONDE QUEDARSE EN IQUITOS

8.0

On the plus side-- staff really tries to help you. Very courteous. The front desk, on checkout, realized that I would be leaving for the airport before the breakfast would be served and so they asked the cook to make me something special to take. This he happily did. I appreciated that! The air conditioning worked well. On the minus side-- realize this is a budget hotel in the third world. The staff knows very little English. I used Google translate and that worked fine. The internet was quite variable; I am not sure if this is the fault of the hotel or the Iquitos location itself. When I was having trouble I went to a local internet café and tried their system with similar results. So I would say if you have lots of critical computing to do consider this in advance. The neighborhood is older, not scenic, but is safe for walking day and night. There were four floors including a ground floor; I did not see an elevator. In walking in the vicinity, be wary of the sidewalk condition since there are many hazards there. Overall I give them good marks for providing a safe and comfortable stay at a very low price.
