Cool jungle lodge
8.0The staff was super responsive and hotel gave an excellent jungle experience. I will say the location was deceptive. The map looks like its in Cahuita when its actually a 45 minute drive away in Punta Uva. Also you must pay for your stay in cash or they will charge an exorbitant credit card fee.

6.0The owners were friendly and readily available when needed. I enjoyed the hammock on the porch. The breakfast (fruit, toast and tea) was really good. The beach is about a 10 minute walk. I enjoyed seeing the wildlife from the porch. There are also chickens, dogs and a cat on the property. There are 3 cabins spread out on the property that includes a river. The bed was very uncomfortable. One of the pillows didn't have a pillow case. There were lizards crawling everywhere inside the cabin. Thankfully, I don't mind them. There is no hot water and the wifi is absolutely terrible. The river looked super swampy. I love kayaking but felt too uneasy to kayak there. I went to dinner with some friends and arrived back around 10pm. The property was pitch black. No lights for the walking path to the cabin. I had to ask my taxi driver to walk me to my room. Get food before it get dark (6pm) because the road is not safe for walking/biking at night. I love nature but this was a little too much for me.
