Idyllic stay on the forested banks of the Thamalakane River
9.0It is highly recommended to approach the lodge via the Matlapaneng Mokoro Jetty across the river during flood season, although the drive to and from the property also does not disappoint. The accommodation is located within the forested fringe, with hiking and horse-riding trails leading throughout the surrounding wildlife-filled bush. The chalets and public bathrooms are clean and functional. The restaurant is smallish at first glance, but yet is able to accommodate a good number of dining guests. The level of service maintained by all staff members encountered is exceptional, from the guides and receptionists to the waiters, chefs, security personnel, housekeepers and shuttle drivers.
− The sound of chickens and dogs from neighbouring properties is slightly annoying, but unfortunately that is the nature of a rapidly expanding town like Maun. It is unfortunate that a complimentary shuttle service from and to the airport is not included in the accommodation tariff, but it is not an unreasonable amount to pay.

− Personeel was niet zoals in de rest van Botswana waar ze heel gezellig en vrolijk zijn.
I would come back here again and I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to Maun.
10.0I liked the grounds of the property. It was so serene and peaceful. The view of the Delta was incredible. The amount and varied birds were amazing and walking along the trails watching wildlife made our vacation very special.
