Absolutely beautiful lodge and area. Clean and spacious rooms.

They advertise they’re dog friendly but dogs aren’t even allowed in the lobby where there’s an area to sit and relax and have a drink. They also don’t let you take drinks to your room from the bar. There’s only a small “market” on site to get drinks (soda, water). Don’t offer much with your stay, like a welcome drink or breakfast. Pool area was ok but looks like a pool in someone’s backyard.

Disappointed

6.0

Not what is used to be under old management. Menu now average. And thereused to be a really nice winery nowreplaced by some Ford Bronco display. And now a silly playground in middle of parking lot. Speaking of parking, they now charge $20/night to park in front of your room!

We are coming back next year

Exceptional location by the Colorado River. Clean and quiet. Five Star Ember Restaurant and swimming pool. Kids playground and many more.

There is nothing negative . This is silly question

Best place we have ever stayed in the US, we are going back in 3 months.

I don't even know where to begin to rate this place. It is SO special. The location can not be better, the views are million dollar, the food is excellent, the drinks at the bar are top notch. The rooms have just been renovated and are gorgeous. The history at this place is fascinating and it's so cool how they value it and pass it on with a museum in the basement. I can't stress enough if you are planning a trip to Moab, this is your place to stay. We are going back in a couple months we loved it so much.

There was not one thing we didn't like, everything was perfect.

Spectacular location near Moab, Arches, Canyonlands.

9.0

Spectacular location! The views in all directions were amazing and there is not a bad room in the house. Request a river view to see sunrise - but the opposite rooms look out at spectacular cliffs and horses grazing in the foreground. Close to amazing parks but you could also be happy to just stay here.

Warning - there is no cell service and wifi is very spotty especially in the rooms. So perfect if you want to disconnect but difficult if you are working on the road. Staff service is mixed - phenomenal and poor. Seems surprising to pay for parking in this locale. Communication poor - emails about construction ending in March (our stay was in July), erratic Departure billing - I received 3 different folios with varying amounts.

Grand evening views but there are cautionary issues.

This facility is a rather primitively rustic motel-type stay. As a senior with aching knees, I encountered steps everywhere at the facility. Steps up the porch to the lobby, steps up to the entry to your room, steps up thru the room doorway, even steps inside the room. Even their feature inside the Lodge-area, a movies-made-in-the-area display is down a long steep staircase to the basement. service to the room was good, but other areas, specifically the bar and dining room have lapses. Every employee seemed to be new and not able to answer questions, we often got arm waves to check with a person off in this direction or that direction.

Good to know

Restaurant is now open year round, offering traditional breakfast options a la carte. The winery is closed and there are no longer wine tasting options. Renovations are completed and the lobby and restaurant areas are open, and no longer in the bronco building. The hot tub is open but the pool is closed for the season until March.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in.
