Our favorite hidden gem in the Keys
10.0The vibe of this place is what makes it special — small, cozy, like a beloved family cottage rather than a resort. The receptionist treated us like old friends, not just guests. Everything is surrounded by lush greenery and flowers, and the property is tucked away from the road, so it feels wonderfully private. There are kayaks, paddleboards, and a grill right on the water. The real highlight for us was snorkeling straight from the shore — we saw parrotfish, grouper, crabs, hermit crabs, and I even spotted a nurse shark. Our neighbors saw a manta ray from kayak, all just steps from the beach. There's also a very friendly resident cat who'll happily keep you company. We've since moved on further south to another hotel, but honestly, we already miss this place and can't wait to come back.
− Honestly, we loved everything. The only thing worth mentioning: if you're looking for a luxury resort experience, this might not be it — it feels more like a relaxed family cottage getaway than a five-star property. For us, that was exactly the charm.
