Pretty views; dining less special
8.0Beautiful view from the comfortable room. Beds were comfortable. Private onsen was very nice. Room was very quiet. Free drinks in lobby area were great.
− I didn’t care for the cafeteria style dining. The menu was the same both days. The “French menu” was a joke. Who the hell eats oyster curry or minestrone for breakfast in France? A proper French omelette would have been nice but wasn’t on offer.
A relaxing vacation in Matsushima.
7.0Overall, the food was great. Everything was very clean...all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Alcoholic drinks included is a Plus. The masseuse was fantastic! 5 Stars to this woman.
− One small critique: the toilet seat temperature was way to hot for the Month of May...I can understand the seat being heated in the winter, but once temperatures rise that feature ought to be turned off. The coffee was not great, as it appears Ichinobo was highlighting a local coffee bean. I prefer espresso over other types, and Ichinobo did not have that option.
