− The R600 per person dinner. I chose 1 dessert & charged R150 which is ridiculously expensive.

What an enjoyable experience my 70th birthday and our 46th wedding anniversary was. Well done!
8.0Staff ( both management and restaurant) were very friendly, attentive and well trained. I loved the shabby chic of a country garden in winter- beautiful. Birds to keep us entertained during breakfast.
− Breakfast was the same both mornings - pastries could have been varied. Kippers or smoked salmon could be offered at breakfast for non meat eaters. There was a smelly drain in the garden somewhere near our room door. Fire extinguishers had expired inspection stickers (room and reception). The maintenance man slipped up.

8.0The staff provided excellent service, and the room I occupied was notably spacious (old school feel). The presence of a gas fireplace was a delightful amenity. I particularly enjoyed the terrace view from my accommodations.
− Regrettably, there wAs insufficient vegan meal options available, even after notifying. Breakfast was disappointing for me given the varietysupplied for everyone else. They did however communicate ahead of time that the vegan supplier was unavailable.

5.0The staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience pleasant. The food and services were good, and the lodge had a relaxing atmosphere.
− The room was not what I thought I would get. Very small, no carpet, shower small and not fully operable. For the price expected more.
