Great Stay for My Solo Ice Fishing Trip

This is the second year in a row that I've come to Cascade on a solo ice-fishing trip, and the second year I've stayed at the Cascade Lake Inn. I stayed during the week, and as a result the facility was quiet with only one or two other rooms in use. The Inn is easy to find, and off the main drag in town. A short drive away from the lakeshore and near many amenities along the highway that runs through the town. There is a gas station with a large convenience store next door, a grocery store just down the street, not far from the famous Tackle Tom's sports and outfitting store to help you get set to hit the lake. Check in is easy and done via text message. A code is sent to you which serves as your access code for the digital locks. The rooms themselves are very well represented by the photos on the website. I stayed in a 2-Queen Bed room with a fill kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped, and everything one needs is there for you. The pricing is very reasonable for the what you get in this particular room. The beds are in new condition and clean. I had zero issues in 2025 or 2026 with my accommodations. I have no problem recommending this property for a place to stay if you're the type that uses suite-style rooms. The service was attentive and although I didn't pop into the office for either trip, the staff are very attentive and accommodating via text message. I didn't use these amenities because it was winter, but there is a small courtyard next to the parking lot that has a fire pit, barbecue and seating in it for socializing outside, providing a back yard atmosphere in this little beautiful town, in a very beautiful part of the US. I value my decompression time in Idaho in this quiet sleepy little inn. I'm already planning to be back in February of 2027 to find those monster perch in the beautiful Cascade Reservoir!

Corner lot, not a whole lot of parking available but the firepit and comfortable cabin style makes up for the lack of parking. The kitchens come stocked with all basic cooking needs if you bring ingredients. Electric fireplace was a nice touch too.

This is an older hotel but it’s clean, comfortable and convenient to the lake . The staff were very helpful and so nice. We were just there earlier this month and I accidentally left my toiletries bag on an early morning ck out. Didn’t realize it till at our next destination 5 hrs away. I figured it was lost for good. When I got back home I contacted the inn and ask them to check. To my surprise they had it and were so nice to mail it back to me in NC. Big shoutout to Ana for her help! So nice to know there are still nice people that do the right thing! I would definitely stay here again!
