A weekend in Monto at the Colonial Motor Inn.
8.0An older building which shows, particulary in the bathrooms. The rooms were clean and well supplied with towels and blankets, with a reverse cycle air conditioner that worked well as a heater for cold winter mornings. Meals were available but we were with a club rally, so ate elsewwhere. The key question is would we stay again?? Yes we would. The man in charge was friendly and supportive. A good experience.
Bed way past its use by Date
6.0Location and room okay however mattress was way past its use by date. Complained and Manager did turn mattress but didn't really improve the sleeping experience. Room 23 definitely not worth $150 per night.
Overall the accomodation looked very tired.
4.0Location / no hassle arriving / wifi very good / the one staff we interacted with was very pleasant. Good parking and only a short walk to town.
− Bathroom very tired / basin had many small cracks / tap old and needs replacing / no exhaust fan in toilet / decided not to shower as shower area looked unhygienic ( all needs replacing ). / bench in living area was covered with a mesh mat ? How can you keep that clean? Sealler between wall and ceiling separatedin bathroom / hole in ceiling over single bed
