Overlooking tranquility of vineyards.
10.0Such a beautiful room overlooking vineyards. Tranquil, serene, walking distance into St. Helena. Outdoor porch with rocking chairs and sofa, fire pit. Pool available. Yoga early morning. Staff is lovely. Restaurant on premises.
Beautiful grounds
8.0Beautiful grounds and excellent advantages as a globalist with Hyatt. Breakfast is delicious and the pool is serene. Valet and shuttle services are quick and efficient. Concierge was young and didn’t really seem to run things too efficiently—we didn’t have our luggage delivered or the globalist advantages explained to us we well as they forgot to note that we had a later checkout after I called it in the morning. Also, it was supposed to be adults only but we did see a child. Again, overall nice stay and view of the vineyards but concierge could do better.
Gorgeous Property, Great Staff
10.0Beautiful property that is super conveniently located on the edge of St. Helena. Staff, rooms, and grounds were gorgeous, and the concierges did a fantastic job helping us coordinate wine tastings and restaurant reservations. We'll definitely be returning. Thank you Alila Napa Valley!
Good stay for birthday weekend.
8.0Booked 2 nights on points, vineyard view, for my wife's birthday weekend. Room was very large, clean, and amazing. Always great to see japanese toilets stateside. Loved the balcony and fire pit. Great beds and linens. Fantastic shower/bathroom. My only complaint is that the room seemed to be below the air conditioner on the roof (we had 3rd floor room), so it would often sound like a helicopter flying above our head. That would certainly bother some people. All housekeeping and valet/bell service was great. Was able to get explorist late check out - not confirmed at check in, but on our last day. Did not try any food or consumables from the hotel. Loved the free shuttle within 4 miles, we used it a few times. Location of hotel is of course very good, which is why they charge such a premium. This is probably one of the best HQ from which to wine down in Napa valley.
Over-priced, really not worth it. Stay for the convenience, not for the amenities.
4.0As many have stated, this is just a slightly above-average property an expensive location in the St. Helena, Napa Valley area. Check-in happens in a detached "hut" next to the main building. We were told our room is almost ready and is getting its final check, but there is no "lobby" or "waiting area," so we had no choice but to enter the "restaurant" and order a drink and a soda for $30 to escape the 95+ degree temps. Later, checked in with GoH benefits, but the staff neither welcomed nor acknowledged that, nor informed me about the complimentary breakfast. The room itself is decent, the vineyard view is nice, but not category 8 nice. The bathroom reminded me of a Japanese-style bath area, but there was a ton of mold/gunk buildup between the top of the tub/tile. I was appalled by the condition... they do include bath salts and fancy shampoo and body wash (which they label as saying that you'll be billed $95 if you take them home with you). We went to Cavallo Point and Alila Napa for a 4-night, 5-day trip with my wife as a semi-20th anniversary thing, but honestly left quite disappointed when this stay was supposed to be the bang!, if you know what I mean.
10/10
10.0From the moment we arrived on property we loved it. St Helena such a small quaint town , walking distance from the alila. We enjoyed many Mexico City margaritas with Oscar at the hotel bar and just enjoyed the company of other travelers. The pool was super relaxing but the star of the show were the rooms. My wife and I found ourselves immersing ourselves with our private fire pit every night. We will definitely be back!
