Coffee and catch up with my cousin
10.0I CAME here again to meet with my cousin for coffee. Was met by SARAH a lovely lady very friendly nothing too much trouble. Made us feel a valued customer. The inside was really brilliant with many comfortable nook and cranny to have a quiet area to talk to. There was a menu offering a meal and drink forn£12. I may well take up the offer. There's a ruined castle to explore and quiet for a walk..this is the third time I have been here and won't be the last. I will come with my navy for food and drink. WELL DONE TO SARAH GIVE HER A PAY RISE SHE DESERVES ONE
Excellent overnight stay
10.0Pam and Caroline made you feel welcome and special. The breakfast was very enjoyable being freshly cooked.
Great place to stay just out of town
10.0Great stay and good food, took 4 colleagues who usually stay elsewhere they were impressed with the rooms the breakfast and the personality of the place and will stay again rather than in town - good choices for veggie and GF diners and nice draught ales Pamela and Caroline are lovely to deal with.
Great accommodation and wonderful staff
10.0Great location and reallly friendly staff. Big shout out to Shell for the nice clean room and also Caroline who was very helpful and informative. We will be back when the weather improves so we can see the 360 degree view from Beacon Hill and have a closer look round the castle adjacent to the hotel!

10.0Another great stay at the Castle Hotel, always a lovely welcome when we arrive. We have stayed here many times and still love coming back. Special thanks to Pam, Caroline and Dom who always make our stay special. Look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
Excellent hotel
10.0Great hotel. Second time I’ve stayed here through work. Great food and staff all friendly with a special mention to Caroline in the restaurant for catering for our food requests and Shell for keeping the room in tip top condition during my stay.
