Our family of 4 (including 2 university age boys) had a wonderful stay here. The location is super convenient, right in the heart of the old part of Freiburg and literally a block away from the cathedral, which we could see from the windows. The apartment was attractive, clean and cozy, with nice little kitchen with electric range and fridge. It sleeps up to 4 people. My wife and I slept in the king bed and our boys slept in the fold-out queen sofa bed. You do have to walk up four flights of stairs to the apartment, but we didn't mind. We watched the World Cup final on the TV and ate several meals at the table. The bathroom/toilet is a bit small but functional and clean. The shower was hot; you need to press a button to heat up the hot water, which takes about 30 minutes. The manager was super responsive and helpful. Overall, we had a wonderful three-night stay here and would recommend it to couples and families.

Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut. Leider waren die Räume zu kalt für die Jahreszeit. Am Morgen standen wir mit nassen Haaren da .Laut Beschreibung war ein Föhn vorhanden. Wurde uns dann am Tag nachgebracht. Vielleicht noch ein Tipp, das Bad kann einen neuen Anstrich gebrauchen. Uns hat Freiburg sehr gut gefallen, kommen bestimmt auch nochmal da hin.

Nice walk-up apartment in great Freiburg location

This is very nice studio apartment in the heart of Freiburg, easy walking distance to the impressive cathedral square as well as the entire downtown area with its restaurants, shops, open air markets and great buildings. The location is basically on a non-driving street, which makes for relaxed route to access the apartment. (I don't think you want a car with you, unless you've worked out some parking arrangements in advance -- Freiburg is a very easy city to get around on foot and with public transit.) You do have to climb four flights of stairs to get up to the apartment, so be prepared for that. The apartment's sitting area is very nice, with appealing lighting and skylights that give a view of the dramatic cathedral bell tower. The large comfortable bed lies along one wall, and chairs/tables provide nice useful space in the center portion of the room. The bathroom is a small and basic, but serves fine (a shower curtain would be a nice addition to contain the water a bit better). Overall, a great place to be in Freiburg, and the host is very friendly and responsive.
