10.0The staff were the most helpful hotel staff ever! Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great. Bed was large and comfortable.
Very, very poor
4.0We stayed I room 8. I appreciate that this is an old building, however, the decor is very tired, the bed was awful and really uncomfortable, the carpets throughout the building are worn with bald patches and the filth behind the bed was disgusting. Also, there was no light bulb in the bedside lamp. Towels and bath mats were thread bare. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience.
Needs major investment
4.0Check in was weird, no one around so once through key code door had to hunt for rooms. Property condition is poor, carpets worn, old decor. Hot water ran for few mins then off, threadbare towels. A Sign saying windows don’t work. Room was clean to be fair. Door lock falling off. For over £90 a room it was very poor. Glad it was only 1 night. Would not return. Not sure how the reviews are so high. Don’t like pitting under 3 stars but that’s my true reflection

10.0Spacious rooms with big internal garden area. Quiet and nice area, in the middle of Chepstow. Contactless check in was fine and easy to follow. Good cooked breakfast in the morning. Perfect for our one night stay.

6.0The property looks nice from the road,and is a good location, but it’s tired once you are beyond the first reception room . Carpets are stained and threadbare. The room was a good size but the lock was barely hanging on with loose screws. The bathroom was ok, but quality wasn’t great. No toilet roll holder. Overall very disappointing and not worth the money.
