10.0We took our grandlovies (4 and almost-6 year old boys) to this lovely resort as part of their birthday getaway with Gaga and Buppa. Although I got completely mixed up with the area we were headed to, Cheryl (Sheryl?) was incredibly kind and helpful and guided us to their resort. We arrived at 9 pm to a beautifully clean and welcoming room with an equally welcoming staff. The lovely lady at the front desk at night helped us find a great pizza place to order food for our grandsons and made us feel so welcome. We had plenty of towels and very comfortable beds (two queen-size). In the morning, we got our swimwear on and went up to the fourth floor to a spotless and very relaxing pool and hot tub area overlooking a gorgeous view of Silver Lake and the beautiful sand dunes. There was even a squeaky-clean post-swim shower there to rinse the chlorine off. Housekeeping staff was so sweet too: I had asked where I could take the pizza boxes and bagged trash I had rounded up from our stay and was told "oh honey, don't worry about any of that. We handle all of that!" After we left, we made a quick left turn to go check out the sand dunes and the cool house that had a lighthouse attached to it. Beautiful area and we loved climbing up to the top of the dunes and watching the dune buggies go bounding down the steep vehicle areas (the resort nearly backs up to the public access for the sand dunes and there's a staircase to climb almost to the top). Already planning next year's trip there!
