Old fashioned, not boutique, hotel
4.0Old fashioned basic hotel. Reasonably clean. The room was under low sloping eaves. The boutique in the title is very misleading, and it was very overpriced for the quality. Next time I would book something more central.

Two nights as part of an eight week trip around Chile and Argentina
4.0This hotel is one of the historic buildings in Valdivia, abo the public area quirky, which was fine> Unfortunately our bedroom was scruffy and well overdue for redecoration. A major drawback was the lack of anywhere to sit apart from the bedroom or on the veranda at the front of the hotel. There was no bar or offer of any refreshment apart from breakfast. We would have expected an establishment which called itself a boutique hotel to have a bar or at least a lounge area. The reception staff behind the were the most offhand and the least helpful and informative we had encountered in our eight week trip in Chile and Argentina.
