10.0WOW, I absolutely loved my stay in this hotel! I travelled alone, but the whole staff made me feel so welcome and relaxed. The two daughters (around my age) were really helpful, regarding practical 'stuff'; and I really appreciated their enthusiasm and support regarding me climbing the Gran Paradiso summit! The breakfast is incredible! Luckily all the hours of walking evened it out calory wise ;). Hotel Herbetet is located in beautiful and very quiet Valnontey, ideal starting point for many magnificant (long) hikes. I wish I could have stayed longer, this region is perfect for nature-loving hikers. The nice little mountain village Cogne is just a quick walk (or drive) away and provides you with cute shops, very good espressos, additional restaurants an a small supermarket. I will definitely return to this hotel some day (hopefully in the near future)!
