− The shower was a little small for my liking.

Great trip. Will always recommend.
8.0Small and cozy. Perfect place to get away, conveniently located near several attractions.
− Unfortunately, you can't escape the noise of the highway. Nights, however, were amazing, without traffic noise, and with the incredible view of the stars.

7.0The location is very nice, lots of nature to enjoy.
− The cabin is small with basic facilities. The AC unit is located right above one bed, so noisy that I had to sleep with head to the foot side.
Perfect location and lovely nature views in a comfortable family owned cabin
8.0This is a nice, family run resort right next to the Betsie River. The cabins are super clean and well kept and the beds are comfortable. They convert many of them seasonally from kings to two twins depending on the tourism season (to accomodate fisherman on the river). You are literally right next to the river in these cabins (although the bank is steep) and there are steps down to the river. The owners support/rent for kayaking and canoeing in the Betsie river, which can be nice for families but it was closed when we were there due to flooding debris. Kayaking/canoeing/tubing the Platte (close by) are also an option for families. They have lots of board games in the office for use, and a large pristine pool and hot tub and nice shared fire pits. Cabins have grills and a kitchen, with a little deck. Ours overlooked the river so the scenery was beautiful. The owners (a couple) are friendly and nice. Just minutes away you have a couple small town options for coffee and restaurants, you are close to the Ironfish Bourbon distillery (nice outside area for food and drinks) and you are very close to Beulah and Crystal Lake where there are more options for food. It is about 30 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes. This is a great location for sightseeing in this area and LOTS of family or couples activities of all types in the area (including fishing). We did some hiking and biked the Betsie River Valley Trail, which was very scenic from Frankfurt to Beulah and back (20 miles total). I would highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay as a landing point for sightseeing in the area. It gives you a somewhat rustic "cabin" base (with A/C), that is very comfortable, in nature, with access to everything during your stay in this part of Michigan.
− The resort is right off a busy road (31) so there is road noise during the day from traffic. We found that mornings (before 9 AM) and later evenings this wasn't so bad, but during the day it wasn't so relaxing to just sit outside on the deck due to road noise. This wasn't a huge problem for us, since during the day we were typically off and doing activities and mostly we wanted to sit outside early morning or late evening anyway. This is the only reason I didn't give a higher rating in some categories. Other than this, I loved the place.
