Not worth the money.
2.0For $650 a night stay somewhere else. Room outdated. No safe in room. Walls are thin and you hear everything. Lamp light switch missing. Bathroom outlet didn’t work. Mismatched furniture. One small bar of soap. The only thing good about it is the location. Just read other reviews from guests that had a similar experience. Management response was to tell them to go to another hotel. They don’t care and the condition of the hotel proves that.
Oceanfront Charmer
10.0We loved the waterfront location of this hotel. Had a fabulous ocean view. We were there in the off-season, so the island had a very chill vibe. The hotel is older, but it’s very charming. We knew we would be paying a premium for being at an oceanfront property and central/very convenient to everything in Avalon. It was worth it.!!!!! It is just steps to restaurants and boutiques galore. Our room was very clean. The housekeepers do a great job. The included continental breakfast was nothing to write home about.
Lovely little hotel with some cool history. Perfect for a little stay in Avalon
10.0Very good location and next to beach
− Room was a bit small but for Catalina and the price this was pretty expected
Paid for the view and got just that but nothing else.
5.0Location was top tier, paid for ocean view and it was unobstructed ocean view.
− The bathroom did not have a vent which is terrible for a small room very close to the bathroom. Wifi was very weak. Breakfast was just random pastries and fruits on a tiny table in front of the office. Nothing too crazy
Cozy with a nostalgic touch
10.0The view when you enter the building and boardwalk facing the ocean
− The History behind the hotel is interesting and the rooms are spacious
I would not recommend it for anyone with a handicap It is more of a motel 6 where lights on room cle
5.0There was none for the price of the stay you would expect something better than what they had
− My room position
