Someone met us at our taxi stop, walked us, carried our bags up 4 flights of stairs, checked in, and even helped us find the ferry to another island the next day. Beyond amazing customer service!

The breakfast was in a local cafe. Food was fine but guests were only allowed one cup of coffee which was an appalling exploitative attitude. As I had such a terrible experience finding the location, my request not to be charged the expensive 20 euros cost for every breakfast was granted.

− 1. Appalling-No explanation of how to find the premises. The taxi driver just dropped me at the outskirts of the old city. I had to wheel my suitcase, asking two locals who spent a lot of their time helping me find the location. 2. There were lots of stairs and no lift which was not explained beforehand when booking which could prove a major problem to some guests.

Wonderfully historic hotel at the center of everything.

Incredibly pleasant and helpful staff. Met us with an umbrella where the taxi dropped us off, then Carried our luggage up several flights of stairs to our room. Spent 20 minutes with us to get us acquainted with the facilities and area. Hotel is built into a Palace dating back to 300ad. Phenomenal history and incredible structure. The hotel is literally steps away from all the bars and restaurants within the palace walls. Extremely large room with ample space for unpacking. Perfectly clean and set up for a lovely stay. Easily could have spent a week at this hotel.

− It was raining during our entire stay (12 hours), so it was not perfect for exploring the ancient palace grounds. We love to clime stairs for exercise, but people who have trouble with stairs should avoid this hotel. No lifts and LOTS of stairs. The staff can help with luggage, if needed, but you must negotiate many steps going in and out of the room.
