Perfect for business trips in the Thornbury area
10.0The breakfast is great, they provide a mini fridge with juice, milk and yoghurt, a pod coffee machine and a kettle with tea/coffee, plus cereals, toaster and bread. Its ideal for a working stay away, so your not missing out on breakfast if you need to get up and away first thing! The staff are all super friendly, and its a very picturesque pub with a lovely beer garden. Meals are very reasonably priced and tasty, with a nice variety of options, plus regular specials on. I've been back on multiple occasions, and its my 1st choice when booking hotels in the area for work!
− Nothing - its all been fantastic! The sensor for the bathroom light is a bit temperamental but not a problem at all - the manager spoke through the situation with me, and due to guest preferences its impossible to get just right - I believe they will be changing it to a normal light switch in the near future.

− Bathroom light is automatic so every time you go near the bathroom door the light clicks on! Then goes off when you are in the bathroom!!! Then on again etc … Crazy system and annoying at night !
Perfect for a night or two in a peaceful location
9.0The quiet location, not far from the Thornbury and the Severn. The relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff when we checked in early.
− The shower door was rather stiff, and the it took a few goes to get the coffee machine to work. - you need to click it hard to lock the capsule cap.
Good value for money and a comfortable room in a quiet location
7.0Continental in room breakfast was good and more than enough. The food in the pub in the evening was tasty. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well, it was a quiet location and it felt safe. Staff were helpful and friendly.
− The area around the bedrooms could be improved and cleaned up a bit around the stairs outside, it did not give a good first impression as there were cigarette ends there. The carpet in the room should be cleaned as it was stained and dirty. The pub is in a quiet village and difficult to reach without a car but that was not a problem for me but may be for other visitors.
