8.0The room was clean, we got a free upgrade which was nice, the location and little village are stunning.
− We travelled from Essex for a family funeral, travelled for over 6 hours and were shattered when we arrived. We would have liked to just sit and relax but sadly the bar was closed for the night so we had to go back out to get ourselves something to eat. Had we known the bar wasn't going to be open we would have booked elsewhere as we had to travel back to Essex the following day so it just felt like a mad rush.

− I understand that the owners have only recently taken on the pub. The only criticism would be that the carpets on the stairs/landing are a little bit grubby
