A refreshing alternative to Motel accommodation, peaceful and fantastic hospitality.
9.0Joan, Trevor and Tom are wonderful hosts! The one bedroom apartment was clean, comfortable and cosy. It had everything you need for a self catering stay and the continental breakfast was very nice. We enjoyed a nice walk and the beautiful garden before we left and we loved our send off and pats with Tom.
Comfortable, spacious and accommodating. Kids loved the added bonus of Tom, a dog away from their dog at home.

The self contained accomodation was adequate would not meet my expectation of "Luxury."
6.0Location was useful for our needs. Breakfast was adequate.
− Based on the website indicating "Luxury" accomodation and gardens being significant with an award from Booking.com expectation was not quite met. Perhaps winter is not a time for the gardens to be at their best and in general property looked tired. The accomodation was comfortable and kitchen had new appliances and well stocked. Heating was an issue, noting it was however one of the coldest days, and perhaps it could have been turned on prior to arrival as it took a long time to become comfortable. The lack of up to date gallery pictures perhaps was a hint. The award was from 2018 and is now 8 years old. Having run a true luxury BnB, one's eye can be perhaps overly critical. This is not a negative review but a suggestion to not overstate what is on offer.
