A good apartment but lacks facilities.

The host met us with a second set of keys and showed us the ski boot room. There is parking available right in front of the apartment.

− Having to collect the first set of keys from the Muse office in Ortisei. No welcome file in the unit. No wifi password… had to ask the neighbors. No Microwave, Toaster or Kettle. We asked for a kettle and one was provided. No smart tv, so unless you want to watch Italian or German tv there is no YouTube, Netflix, Prime… Upgrading the facilities would Greatly improve the apartment.

The apartment was clean. spacious, comfortable and the location was decent - close to Nives lift that provided link to more desirable lifts and gondolas. It was about 7min to the supermarket and central location bars and restaurants. The kitchen was big and well equipped. So was the bathroom. I thought the price we paid was good value too. If it was not for the key collection/drop off drama I would rate it higher.

− no kettle, iron or toaster, we could not find washing machine either I absolutely hated the fact we had to collect and drop the keys from/to agency in Ortisei (another town in Val Gardena). We were a big group travelling with a private transfer (big bus). The drivers both ways were not happy with the fact we asked them to stop there. The space is limited and not suitable for the bus. To drop the keys I walked for 15min in deep snow because the driver on the way back refused to stop anywhere closer to the agency. We have booked 5 apartments in Selva for our stay and only this one required collection of the keys. Message to the owner of the property: please address this issue - having a box with a code to access the key can't be that much of an investment. We had a private transfer but if we were in shared transfer collecting the keys would have been a deal breaker. If you travel by your own car or have a fairly small private transfer booked it should not be a problem. But for big groups travelling by coach or those using shared transfer I will say: stay elsewhere. The most ridiculous thing - owners were on site! Why did we have to go through all of this with the key collection I have no idea. The key collection inconvenience was substantial but the agency staff - a lovely lady with a great sense of humour almost made up for it. I hope she gets a bonus for her fantastic customer service skills.
