Basic Accomodation but nothing wrong
6.0Stayed 1 night - arrived in Puno on a very hot overnight bus from Cusco so pretty tired - was able to get our room at 09:00 so could have a shower and a nap. Room basic but clean, and wifi absolutely fine. Breakfast basic but bread certainly fresh - had to wait for it to arrive from the baker. Helpful front desk.
Average but spacious!
6.0This hotel was average. The rooms are ok but they were very spacious in comparison to many other places I stay while in Peru! Location seemed to be food although the cab drivers didn't know where it was or where the restaurant was we wanted to go to which was incredibly disappointing! Free breakfast was probably the most basic we saw in Peru too but it was fine! Different than other places in Peru. Average price and worth it for more budget travellers!
Average hotel, close to the street with restaurants
6.0The hotel is REALLY average. The rooms are more spacious then in the rest of the country where I stayed. Its quite clean. There is a computer in the "lobby" and free wifi in the establishment. I went there in November and it was quite cold in there. It is also CHEAP so recommendable if you are on the budget. When you go out turn left and then left again you will find a street full of restaurants, so you can have a breakfast, lunch or dinner anytime anywhere you want.
Decent amenities, friendly staff!
6.0The price was a bargain, the rooms have plenty of space, continental breakfast was good, the staff helped us plan some activities and was nice enough to store our luggage. The hotel manager was very friendly and made a reservation for us in Arequipa! Wifi and TV signals were poor, but they did have a guest computer with internet.
ALSO, THE INTERNET DOESN'T
6.0We did not initially choose this hotell. On our bus, tour peru, a guy approached us and said we shoudl stay here w everything included...and that this has a better location closer to the center of town than our other hotel. So we looked at the rooms and agreed. this hotel is relatively warmer even wo heating. we paid 25 soles per person for a triple in (june 2013). However, 2 issues. 1. he told us transfer from the train station to the hostel is free...(they took the 5 soles for it out of our 25 each cut). Then they booked us a uros and ate...(sp?) trip from 7 am to 5 30pm trip for 40 soles per person. If you take a taxi directly, (3-5 soles) and ask for a tour (25 soles) per person, its cheaper. The showers were difficult to manage. iT was either too cold or scalding...after a lot of trying 30 minute shower i finally figured out a happy medium...which I think i only got lucky in controlling. Finally, the internet only SEMI works in the rooms. IT almost ONLY works in the hallways Then this morning, we woke up to them telling us, oh, the guy who brought you here said that breakfast is not included. The guy blatantly lied and i had to fight our way to some breakfast. Overall, the hotel owners are nice -- they provided us with extra pillows and blankets--- however, the guy at station lies and tried to pull the old we offer everything.... except routine.
Real bargain
6.0The place was a bargain at about 60 soles per room. It was clean and quiet. Water was boiling hot to the point I was worried I would burn myself.. Most of the staff were lovely and helpful but there was a grumpy man as well, who also, as we realized later, charged us at least 3 times more for the laundry. Overall, you get what you pay for. It's really ok for that amount.
