Het persooneel en de eigenaar is erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. De huisjes zijn comfortabel en schoon. En het zwembad is super fijn! Het ontbijt was geweldig!

Wij als gezin hebben genoten van ons verblijf. De eigenaar met zijn gezin zijn ongelooflijk vriendelijk en staan continue klaar voor je als je iets wilt regelen. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en staat klaar wanneer je aankomt lopen. Het zwembad was super fijn en accommodatie is goed. Locatie is net iets van de weg af. Heerlijk rustig. Binnen 5 min met de tuktuk in Sigiriya. Dat is allemaal prima te doen.

Très bon accueil par la famille qui gère cet établissement familial. Le patron et sa femme sont aux petits soins. Le cadre est très joli, des bungalows dispersés dans un beau jardin vert et arboré. La piscine est un vrai plus pour se rafraîchir. Un peu excentré de Sirigiya mais ce n' est pas vraiment un problème car il faut se rendre aux spots touristiques autour en voiture ou tuktuk de toutes les façons.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié l'accueil de Lakmal. Très amical sans être opressant, très aidant pour organiser nos sorties. Nous avons séjourné dans deux différentes chambres, celle bungalow simple était correcte avec un lit un peu petit/rigide, celle en bungalow surélevé deluxe était vraiment super. Le petit dejeuner etait excellent, avec des Roti coc délicieux, du beurre de la confiture des fruits du pain etc. Nous avons adoré notre séjour ici nous recommandons.

− Lit du bungalow simple un peu petit et qui bouge, mais bon nous recommandons quand même fortement car le cadre les lieux communs et l'accueil étaient supers.

Peaceful and relaxing accommodation with family vibes

We had a very enjoyable stay at Woody Cabana and felt it offered excellent value for money, especially considering accommodation prices in Trincomalee. The owner was extremely responsive to messages before and during our stay. We appreciated being able to pre-order dinner for our first evening after a long journey, and although we organised our own activities, there was a good range of tours available through the property. The cabins and surrounding gardens were clean, well maintained, and had a lovely tropical atmosphere. The individual cabins also provided a good sense of privacy while still feeling part of the property. A special mention goes to the concierge, who seemed to be available at all hours and was always eager to help with anything we needed. He even made a trip to the pharmacy for us, which was greatly appreciated. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning kept the room cool and comfortable throughout the night. The only real downside was the number of insects and small reptiles that found their way into the cabin. We were actually pleased that mosquitoes weren’t an issue, but we did regularly have geckos, frogs and a couple of beetles inside the room. They weren’t dangerous, but they did make it harder to completely relax, particularly at night. We noticed there was quite a large gap at the bottom of the cabin door, which seemed big enough for animals to enter, and it also looked possible for them to come through the bathroom extractor fan. Fitting a better door seal and some mesh over the extractor fan would likely solve much of the problem. Whenever we found an unwanted visitor, the concierge was happy to come and remove it straight away, which we really appreciated. However, with a few simple improvements to prevent animals entering in the first place, we think the overall guest experience would be even better.

− Nothing that detracted from the stay, but the shower holder was slightly broken and we had a beetle which might have come through the extractor fan’s netting - which seems it may need repair.
