A potential great stay, spoilt by numerous problems a lack of transparency and poor customer service

With everything working, no construction underway and more understanding hosts, this would be a great apartment and place to stay. It is tastefully decorated, has a great view and the ringing of the bells each evening is superb.

− Firstly, a large part of the immediate area is under reconstruction - a point not mentioned or indicated in the listing. Secondly, lots of things failed during our stay, Door Lock, Heat, Hot Water, Electric, Internet. On top of that, a couple of meals and hot drinks were ruined by the sporadic, unbelievably salty water that comes from the kitchen sink. One host said the salty water was normal and the supply was not potable - a point that should have probably been mentioned or indicated somewhere via a large sign - before we started drinking it. Another host whom we were passed to (after the first had become exasperated with all the problems) showed little understanding. Problems occur sometimes, we understand that but being made to feel they're our fault when they're not indicates poor management and terrible customer service.
