Unfortunately the pool is non operational and without it we left disappointed.
5.0The host was most welcoming and the dinner was superb. Great local home cooked dishes which were fabulous. More food than we could eat. Great view from the terrace and so quiet. Just the sounds of goats wearing bells in the distance. There is a supermarket on the main road in town for supplies.
− The pool was closed. I can understand if there is an issue and the pool had to close but it appears that it is not a recent issue and it looks as though it is in the process of being repaired and retiled. That being the case we should have been notified when the booking was made that there was no pool. Without the pool you are basically paying around $200AU a night for a very basic room and breakfast. There is nothing else to do. There are no animals other than dogs and a cat. We went to the beach shortly after getting there which was ok but about 8 ks way. Shane cause I was looking forward to staying there but ended up disappointed. Feel sorry for the host he was really nice but without the pool it is not value for money.

6.0Fantastic view over the sea. Nice pool an spaceous room. The restaurant was closed, which we only discovered at arrival. Had to drive every night to town for dinner. The outside area needs maintenance and cleaning

Beautiful mountain retreat...
8.0Having arrived in Cerchiara di Calabria for an overnight stay our original hotel booked 'Villa Santa Maria' was a total let down as there was no one at the hotel! After 2hrs on a mobile calling Expedia to explain the situation they finally agreed to re-locate us to the next local accommodation being Agriturismo San Fele. What a relief, lovely welcome from Teresa and her Family, enjoyed a traditional evening meal with them and service was exceptional spending time coversing English/Italian with Teresa. If you find yourself in this area do go and stay here...forget the hotels, up the mountain through the villages made for a better experience. Thank you Agriturismo San Fele ❤️
