8.0Clean reasonably priced motel. Decor may be a little dated and the beds are a bit bouncy, but comfortable. Best for just one person per bed. The only issue was the ac did not feel it stayed at the temperature we set it on. Definitely got stuffy in the middle of the night.
Painful Sleeping Experience
4.0Let’s put out the good vibes first. Friendly greeting-room clean. My husband and I stayed in room #25 which was the only room available. A very odd setup with the whirlpool tub located in the “kitchen “ sitting area. The very small bathroom was placed in a hut type build with a tin roof on top. We are okay with quirky, but taking a shower in a small tube was difficult. The faucet pointed out so if you turned it on it sprayed directly out of stall. Not the 2 reason, though. We had the most uncomfortable sleep anywhere we’ve traveled. Our hips and legs were in horrible pain and we didn’t get any sleep. No, we weren’t hiking all day and we don’t have physical issues. We travel a lot and have stayed at all levels of accommodations and I’m sharing this as a heads up so you don’t experience the same. The cost of the room was $200, so it wasn’t their lowest point. It’s 2 hours later and we’re still in pain. The lady was sympathetic when I let her know about our experience and said we should have let her know and she would have given us a topper for the mattress. I wouldn’t have thought to ask at 11:30 and think there may have been a solution, or is this an ongoing issue and they have toppers on hand? We stay in the FXL several times a year and will make a note not to stay here again.
Outdated Inn
4.0The owner is friendly. The Inn is outdated. A musty, mildew smell permeates the rooms. The outdoor lounge area was a great idea but the furniture had ripped cushions. There is no where to place a toiletry bag in the bathroom except on the closed toilet lid.

10.0Great motel, clean, comfortable room, reasonable rates, convenient to everything in the area - lakes, museums, wineries. Pretty quiet for being on a fairly busy road. Nice people own/run the place.
