6.0The picturesque views from outside is brilliant and breth taking . The Hotel looks great from outside with it's stone walls etc but is need of an update inside . The rooms are big but some cupboard doors need fixing and the shower leaked. It was clean with a impressive menu but the food isn't good . Breakfast was cold and the toaster didn't work most of the time. You do need to look for a clean plate ,bowl or cups . If you ask for a tea tell them to only put one tea bag in it as it's strong . If you stay on the first floor you will be woken up at 7 am by the kitchen radio or kept awake at night with the restaurant music coming though the floor . The spa is great . The staff are brilliant and look after you. The pool is ok but the changing rooms are small . The gym was impressive and you can get a cuppa from the reception. The Hotel is well placed as there's a steam engine , boats on lake and a motor museum right next to it . There is a pub called the Angler's arms within 2 mins car or 10 mins walk which has brilliant home cooked food with a good cask ale selection. The team is great as well. . All in all it's a great base to stay and wonder around the lakes .
