Dirty and Overpriced

4.0

Unfortunately my coworker and I got in late and so there was no one to greet us or show us to our room. There was a lot of miscommunication/no communication at all, but that just could be because of booking on a third party site and not having anyone to assist us. When we found our room, we were quite disappointed by the variety and amount of hairs, spots, and stains on the pillows, covers, and mattresses. Because we kept finding more stains and unidentifiable marks, neither of us felt comfortable enough to lay down without a barrier between us and the beds. What added to our dissatisfaction was the fact that there was a MUCH cleaner room with its door open right next to us! With further inspection, we came to the conclusion that this place WAS capable of providing a clean and comfortable bedroom, just not to all guests. We woke up multiple times throughout the night due to being so uncomfortable with how dirty the beds were that by morning we got the heck out of there as fast as we could. On their website, they very clearly describe the beautiful backdrop of the outdoors but never seem to share what you should expect in the rooms themselves. Additionally, their website clearly states that guests are given free WiFi, which was also NOT given to us and we needed it since we had no cell service and needed directions! With the cost being $100+/night, we were HIGHLY disappointed that we stayed there and not somewhere that would have been more affordable and actually clean.

Off Season maybe for Golf but a lovely Stay !!

10.0

It would seem strange to stay at a Golf Resort in the off Season, but this place was wonderful ! Outstanding clean, responsive staff. We were there for a wrestling tournament in nearby Johnstown. The Hotel rooms were filled with amazing Baseball memorabilia from the collection of owner Dick Groat, all star of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 60s. Of course there was no golf going on in March, but well worth the price and the accommodations.
