10.0Beautiful location. This was my second time staying at hotel Senke. Miwa san and all the staff are amazing. Very friendly and helpful with anything I need. Onsen was very relaxing each day after the snow. Plan to keep coming back. Highly recommend.
Not bad, good location but had to be better value options available

− Try and charge for everything extra. Tried to charge 40usd for an extra blanket. Wanted to charge for a 3 year old kid sleeping on own provided bed. Room not the cleanest, mould on the walls. Very expensive for what you get

10.0I liked that the bathing was onsen only. And that we slept on futons. And it felt very authentic, and the staff were nice, and it's on the main strip close to everything.

Fun stay in traditional Japanese hotel
8.0Really simple traditional hotel right in the centre of town. Rooms are very simple and small with mattresses on the floor. Not much space for luggage. That said it seemed clean and we slept well. It was fun for a few nights! Excellent drying room. Its a very simple traditional, inexpensive set up right in the heart of Akakura.
− Communal showers via onsen set up takes getting used to but were ultimately fine. Note that rooms very small, we had a twin and it was busy!
