The Excellence delivered. After Hurricane Melissa, the Excellence came roaring back serving the best hospitality and exceptional service. We were extremely appreciative of everyone returning to provide such hospitality during such a tough time recovering. The turn-around on the restoration and fresh lick of paint made the place feel like new. The service was world class. A special shout-out to the following: Shane, Restaurant Manager: Outstanding hospitality. Extremely warm with guests. Felt like VIP around Shane every time we passed. Dwayne, Lifeguard: Always gave a warm greeting whether you were walking past or at the jerk hut. Aaron: Understandably the choice to keep at Front of House to make great first impressions on the arrival tour. Still unforgettable to this day how charming and professional Aaron is. Richardo: Richardo looked after us at The Grill and Chez Isabelle and went above & beyond to make us feel comfortable throughout the services even when we were served by others on various nights. Anna-Kay: Anna-Kay provided an energetic boost every time we entered any restaurant and is worthy to be the hostess with the mostest. Nickeba was super attentive at Aroma and always remembered our Cortado coffee order We will most definitely return.

This was our second time staying at this resort. The atmosphere, the food, the entertainment is always a 10/10. It is extremely clean and updated. The pool and wait staff was amazing. Eric, the bartender, would sing us songs as he made us drinks. Jordanique, Tomayo, and Martin sat and talked to us and made sure we were having a great time. Latifa served us daily and made us feel so special. We will 100% be going back because this resort is consistent and the people are top notch.

We were thrilled with Magna and Zenith restaurants—very sophisticated cuisine and excellent service. Other restaurants were also very good, and the alcohol selection was top shelf. The grounds, while they suffered from the recent hurricane, are beautifully maintained. The suites are spacious and clean. Our only complaint is lack of nighttime entertainment—there is really nothing going on, and whatever is there is not publicized.

The accommodations are beautiful and immaculate and the staff are wonderful. We were very disappointed with the food (quality, portion size, selection, eg no tropical/exotic fruits—maybe because of recent hurricane?), the hot tub/spa by the outdoor pools were not hot despite several requests to staff and our group (of 24 couples, who all decided to come despite the recent hurricane because Excellence Oyster Bay insisted that they were fully operational) were supposed to have adjacent rooms/rooms in the same building but were spread out among several buildings. Also, many of the restaurants were closed 3 or more days, limiting options. Our closest friends and us reserved adjacent rooms and the registration staff said they could not accommodate us despite the fact that the hotel appears to be only about 20% full.

"Best Family Vacation"

Our adult son wanted to plan our "last family vacation" to be the "best one ever" and chose Excellence Oyster Bay. (I don't really know "Value for money" because our son kept the cost from me knowing it would spoil my enjoyment! Smart kid!!) The resort grounds were gorgeous (nestled at the end of its own peninsula) - especially considering the devastating hurricane 2 months earlier! One private club pool was under repairs/upgrade, but otherwise the resort was fully back in business. Food and drinks were excellent and far more than we could fully enjoy! Staff were very friendly and good at what they did. If I had to think of negatives, it would be very difficult....but one steak at The Grill was over-cooked and under-seared and took over an hour to prepare. The extras at the spa were excessively expensive ($65 for sunburn lotion massage) - if they had been $30-40, we would have chosen them. Otherwise, everything was great - best vacation ever! I will never forget it and would definitely recommend!
