10.0Lovely hostal on Isabella Island! I've stayed at 4 hostels in the islands and this one was by far my fav. Many lacked the social aspect, but here the owners have a lovely beach bar across the road where they hosted events (game nights, trivia, etc) which was great to meet other travellers. The rooms were spacious, shower was hot, rooftop area was nice. Only 1 item I disliked - 2 of the windows in my room were just screens at the top and couldn't be closed, so you could hear all the noise from people and cars going by. Still highly recommend!
Comfortable Isabella Reach Hostal
8.0I really enjoyed my stay. Owner, Edith, was friendly and helpful. Room clean and everything (e.g. A/C, etc.) worked. The Bar by Beto in a beautiful beach front location. My room overlooked a pond with flamingos! I was pleasantly surprised how quiet the neighborhood was at night. I'd gladly return!

10.0The lady was nice and accommodating. The property is pay-upon-arrival. So bring cash! Walking from the port to the property is an easy 30min walk. The roads are dirt roads, so walking with heavy luggage isn’t ideal. Just pay a taxi to drive you if you don’t want to walk. The small strip of restaurants and stores are right next to this place.

6.0This block around town had a sewage problem and the whole area smelled. It was apparently a city problem that stopped the pumping process. The property had a kitchen with fridge for guests to store and prepare food. Cleaning was ok-ish. Good for a couple of nights.

6.0The check-in was confusing. There was no one at the hotel to check me in. The owner told me to go across the street, which was confusing to figure out where the office was. Staff was nice. The room was clean but a little outdated. Good atmosphere. It’s a room to shower and sleep with air conditioning.
