Great location; toilet bowl needs scrubbed; can be noisy late at night

− Toilet bowl was dirty; needed a good scrubbing! Rooms are not soundproof; we could hear the next door guests talking/laughing until past 12 midnight several nights, so did not sleep well.

No pool was opened at all during our stay. They said it was because of tropical storm Bertha but after asking around in the area there was other pools open at other places in the area. I never saw a pool technician at all even trying to fix the pool. Hannah was very rude to me one evening when I called about asking for towels. She assumed with saying I can come get them since she thought I wanted her to bring them to my room. I was just I asking about getting some towels and he response was si ce uts 6:20 at night housekeeping was gone. I told her that was fine I can walk and get them.. They tried to send me to appalachicola across the bridge if I wanted a pool. I think I should be compensated something besides just offering a free cancelation because I paid to be on the beach with.a popl.. Funny thing is that my husband is actually I the pool business amd he knows it shouldnt take that long to get a pool good. They just didn't care about trying to be motivated to fix the pool. We made the most of our vacation and I wasn't trying to be bothered arguing with the front desk. I was nice and courteous whem I checked out. I even swept out our room and left. Sometimes when your on vacation amd things dont go right you just suck it uo and make the most of it . I didnt want go be going back amd forth with people on the phone or trying to find a last minute place to dtay for my family being this isbthe only hotel on the beach and I booked it because the condos on the beach arr way out of my budget. I will say the only person that was nice was Christine i think is her name. The Hannah lady has a bad attitude just because I asked about getting some towels telling g me I can come get them anytime with this tone of voice like I was stupid or something. Reason I say this is because the lady the day before she brought towels to our room and was so nice. Now this is a budget hotel very old hotel on the beach.

− No pool. Nor very motivated to fix it. Never saw any kind of maintenance person trying to fix it. I gave up on asking because same story yet so many other places had thier pool open during tropical storm.

It was a great place to stay while visiting family.

Ate breakfast in our room as was upgraded to a kitchenette.

− A better place to hang clothes in this specific room other than the towel rack in the bathroom.

As a woman alone I always feel safe here. It's an older Florida motel.. Super simple and clean. The staff is available 24/7. Charming little spot, right on the beach✨

Excellent staff. Super friendly and kind. Very caring. We love them. Second to none. Great location. Right on the beach. Food very close. Easy access. Old building refurbished. Great work considering the age.
