− Wrong room, uncomfortable bed, shower worn and dirty, heating didnt work correctly it was freezing! TV didnt work

− We’ve stayed here many times in the past and it feels like it’s gone downhill a bit since our last stay, breakfast wasn’t as good as it used to be, and the bar didn’t feel as welcoming.

3.0− Beware when booking. I paid a lot of money to stay at this hotel with the purpose of taking advantage of the rooftop bar to which would have accommodated our planned evening perfectly but once we tried to enter we where told the bar was booked for a private event and we must leave. This meant that the hotel had no bar or lounge facilities available for us just a really expensive room. If we had known we could have stayed at a choice of other nearby hotels for less than half the price just for a room. I complained about the situation at the reception desk and the staff completely agreed this was an unfair issue, so I asked to speak to the manger who wasn’t available but I was assured after leaving my contact details I would be contacted from the next day and for the inconvenience the receptionist said all she can do for now is join me to the IHG club and add a certain limit of points. I mentioned all I would have needed is to be informed the hotel had a private event and no access to the facilities and so I would have booked somewhere els. It’s now been a week today since the issue and I’ve had no contact from the hotel, no points, nothing. I would like a refund please as I would class this hotel as miss selling me my stay with the amount of pictures on the site of the rooftop bar etc? Moving forward I hope you inform all future guests before arriving if the rooftop bar isn’t available to hotel guests?
