Very relaxing and peaceful

The peace and quiet, nature, cabin was cosy

− Only 2 things- need bigger coffee mugs! And the lock on the door needs fixing it it a pain to try to open you have to jiggle it around for ages and the door knob looks like it is coming loose.

I am OBSESSED with this cabin. It’s so cosy and has everything you need, I didn’t want to leave. It feels remote but is close enough to town to stock up on food when you need. The caretakers were proactive and responsive when we needed to reach out. I would definitely love to stay again.

An absolute gem – perfect nature escape! I had an amazing stay at Koompartoo Retreat, driving up from Sydney. The chalet was incredible, beautifully decorated, and very well-equipped—truly perfect for unwinding. It felt like a hidden paradise, tucked away among the ferns and nature, yet it’s incredibly close to the center of Bellingen and serves as the ideal base for exploring Dorrigo National Park. Communication with the host was excellent. A few days before arrival, I received a wonderful email packed with local restaurant and café recommendations. On the day of check-in, they sent over the access codes, allowing for a completely seamless and stress-free self-check-in without worrying about a strict arrival time. Bonus points for the excellent Wi-Fi connection! My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. Highly recommended!
