Sympathisches Domizil - gepflegt wohnen auf zwei Ebenen
10.0Ein neues, helles, sehr großes und sehr sauberes Loft. Stylisch und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Zum Wohlfühlen! Pierluigi ist ein sehr freundlicher und hilfbereiter Vermieter. Als wir ihn nach empfehlenswertem Wein aus Sizilien fragten, hat er uns sogar in den Weinladen um die Ecke begleitet, wo wir sehr gut beraten wurden. Außerdem hat er uns auf unsere Frage nach einem tollen Fischrestaurant mit "Marina del Nettuno" eine ganz feine Adresse empfohlen. Wir hatten ein köstliches Abendessen in sehr besonderem Ambiente und einen herrlichen Spaziergang vom Apartment aus dorthin und zurück. Und wir haben weitere Tipps für Restaurants und schöne Strände von ihm erhalten. Grazie di nuovo, Pierluigi! Wer dem touristischen Trubel auf seiner Reise durch Sizilien einmal entfliehen möchte, der fährt nach Messina. Wir wurden einige Male - auch in Tourismusbüros - gefragt: "Was wollt Ihr denn da?" Wir wußten es noch nicht genau, es war ein bißchen wegen der geografischen Lage: "Messina - das Tor Siziliens". Und wir wurden angenehm überrascht. Der wohltuend ruhige Spaziergang durch fast menschenleere Straßen von Messina (es war Feiertag/ Pfingstsonntag) hinauf zu der Kirche Santuaria Montalto und von dort aus der atemberaubende Blick auf die Meerenge von Messina ( Mythos von "Skylla und Charybdis" in Homers Odyssee) hinüber zum Festland nach Reggio Calabria. Unser absolutes Highlight ist der reich ausgestaltete Duomo Santa Maria Assunta mit dem beeindruckenden Campanile und der größten mechanischen Uhr der Welt (aus Straßburg). Außergewöhnlich! Und wir hatten überraschenderweise das Glück, die Pfingstprozession zu Ehren der "Madonna della Lettera" - Gottesmutter Maria und Stadtpatronin von Messina - erleben zu dürfen. Das war sehr berührend, auch für Nichtgläubige. Dienstags und freitags, wenn die Kreuzschiffe anlegen, soll die Stadt wesentlich belebter sein. Wir kommen wieder - wenn die Kreuzschiffe noch auf hoher See sind...

− Şehir merkezine ve gezilecek yerlere uzaklığı yürüyerek yaklaşık yirmi dakika kadar ama yürünen yollar güzel olduğundan sorun değildi.
