Great place to enjoy the ocean in Costa Rica
10.0We had a great time at Sunset del Mar hotel a few weeks ago. The staff was super friendly, the rooms very comfortable and spacious, the kids had a great time at the pool, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The beach is wide open and really great for walking or playing in the sand. The ocean waves are strong but with a bit of being careful, one can enjoy the water, as well. All around, a great place to go on vacation!

10.0Beautiful resort type hotel with super comfortable villas. Right in a great swimming beach, plus a nice pool. Restaurant is fantastic. My second time staying here, will definitely be back!

10.0It is a beautiful place.. very spacious outside and inside the rooms and right on the beach. The staff was very helpful.. especially Wendy at the desk who helped me prepare to have a big party there later in June. The free breakfast was delicious and so was lunch and dinner.
Not up to snuff
8.0Great beachfront location, incredibly helpful staff. But the hotel seems to be struggling to survive. Dinner was inexpensive, but not memorable in any way. The included breakfast was somewhat better. Deferred maintenance issues abound. We couldn't lock the door to our first room, and there was no-one to repair it. The list, unfortunately, goes on.
