An associate helped me with my bags.

− This hotel has shady business practices. I booked a room at this hotel on booking.com. However, upon my arrival, they first attempted to upcharge me for taxes and fees until I pointed out the agreed upon rate on booking.com was the total price. Then the manager, who was called attempted to convert to the local currency using what is referred to in West Africa as a "Black market" rate, which includes high transaction fees, instead of using the average daily rate which is commonly used by businesses. It was stated at first by one of the associates that taxes and fees were being added to the total booking rate shown on booking.com. The reason the manager was called in the first place is because I objected to this. Once the manager became involved, he said that taxes and fees were included in the total price but the conversion that booking.com used was not correct. Therefore, I offered to just pay for the stay in the local currency to settle the disagreement over the exchange rate since booking.com showed a total booking rate in US dollars as well as in the local currency, however the manager again communicated that the hotel disagreed with booking.com's conversion. I then stated that this appears to be an issue between the hotel and booking.com, not between the hotel and I. We then debated the issue of the The Ritzz Exclusive Guest House using a clear, unscrupulous "Black market" exchange rate (12.5 to 1) for a good while and when I said that this was unacceptable, the manager said that they wouldn't be able to rent the room to me. After that point I left The Ritzz and went to another hotel that used a standard exchange rate of 11.5 to 1. There, I shared my experience with them and they also asked me if the manager at The Ritzz was using a black market exchange rate.

My stay was pleasant and perfect location in osu no complaints

"I had a wonderful two-week stay at The Ritzz Exclusive Guest House in Accra. The location in Osu is unbeatable—so vibrant, just a short walk from the famous Oxford Street, with plenty of restaurants and shops. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the rooms were both comfortable and personal—especially loved having a kitchenette. Since it was low season, I was even upgraded to a better room, which made the stay even more special. My room was cleaned every day, and the sheets were changed regularly. There was always staff available to open the door for me when I went in and out of the building. They also gave me lots of advice on things to see, where to go, and how to get around, and they even helped me organise day trips. I became particularly good friends with Isaac, the security guard, who helped me locate items I was trying to purchase to bring back to England. The manager went above and beyond to make my stay truly memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience—I’d definitely stay there again!"

− "In terms of what I didn’t like, the guest house didn’t have a lift, and my room was on the third floor, so that was a bit of a challenge with luggage. However, the staff carried my bags on my behalf, which was a huge help and made things much smoother. I also noticed they’re adding more rooms—there are signs of building work, but I wasn’t disturbed by any construction. I was told they plan to add a rooftop bar, which sounds really exciting!"

From the second we stepped in, Maxwell and Esther made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond for us. Always on hand in case we needed anything at any hour, facilities were more than sufficient. Really enjoyed our stay overall.

-very clean -nice amenities like full kitchen -a safe in the room, which was not mentioned in the description of the room -the location in Osu, close enough to Oxford St. but no noise -very helpful employees -manager asking for feedback at the end of the stay

− -Check-in could have been quicker (paperwork took 15+ minutes), but that was most likely because of a short-term problem with the copier that most likely will be fixed.
