In the past 21yrs, I have traveled all over Greece & to 104 islands and have stayed in many hotels. I can honestly say the Ionio Hotel had many great features, such as the cleanliness, the great breakfast that has items that I rarely see in other hotels. For example, one morning the hotel manager Konstantina was up past 2am making a delicious apple pie for all the guests. I've never seen such dedication to make guests happy in all my travels. The soft towels, the high pressure shower, the quiet room, the location between the main city and Nydri, but what makes a hotel stand out in my opinion is the care that I receive from the employees and the owner of the hotel. I give the owner George, the hotel manager Konstantina, and the staff, a rating of A+ I don't consider myself the easiest to please, but I am pleased how nice I was treated and how attentive they were to anything I needed. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, Kostantina greeted me with a cheerful smile and made me feel right at home. Not once did I feel like I was just another tourist that nothing mattered about me but my money. She is very genuine and wants the guests to really enjoy their time on the island. She showed me on a copy of the map they provide the guests, many great places that I should see. George does a great job of keeping good communication with Konstantina to make sure this hotel and others are running great. If this hotel is full, they have others, which you should inquire about.
