Good room, bizarre service

The room itself is quite nice - clean and updated with tasteful furniture, good bathroom. As others have mentioned the elevator is old and rickety, but adds some authenticity. Also, the front door sticks, and more so the warmer the weather to the point where it is extremely hard to push open, taking all of my weight and muscle to open it a few of my days. The couple next door had the same problem. My real issue was with the service. My arrival was after the listed hours and so that seems to be when my trouble started. Almost to Verona after dark and I still hadn’t received the access information - I eventually got it and things seemed okay but I guess the owner was annoyed band was basically unresponsive to any communication. To top it off, on the last of my last of 3 nights I returned to find the housekeeper had cranked the heat to about 80 F (on a hot day) and didn’t replace the toilet paper, leaving me without any the following day. The room, location and price are all good, along with Verona being a fantastic city. You’re probably unlikely to encounter most of the frustrations I had, and without them this would have been a 4 star review, but I will stay someplace else if I get to Verona again.

Le B&B est très correct: chambre confortable, propre, proche du centre ville.. impeccable.Mais il n'y aucun service: nous sommes arrivés et nous sommes restés dehors avec nos valise une demi heure car il faut un code pour entrer et nous l'avons découvert seulement devant la porte... quand j'ai enfin réussi à parler au téléphone avec le propriétaire j'ai du aller chercher la clé dans un restaurant et il m'a donné les autres codes. Nous n'avons jamais vu personne... Et pour le petit déjeuner il y a une machine à café dans la chambre et quelques produits dans un meuble... nous sommes allés au bar car prendre le temps pour un petit déjeuner correct pour nous ça fait partie des plaisirs des vacances... Pour ces raisons je le trouve cher par rapport à un hôtel et ses services

It was so difficult to find not good when I am travelling with my mother in her 70's. Phoned them asked us to come back at 11 we went to get cases and waited and waited. Called again gave me directions and codes and left luggage and told to return later. We did no one here although between the specified times on the information. We rang again they had promised on a number of occasions to text the codes I still have not had them. The man who had been answering our calls then cut us off every time we called. Sat in a strange city 4 floors up on stairs unable to get past the door where are cases were totally unacceptable we had no idea what we could do. Finally a lady called and got us into the room - when in it was absolutely lovely and the location amazing. Unfortunately having to come 3 times to attempt to get in and the worry of what we would do clouded our stay.

Position of the property, easy to find and 1 minute walking to Arena. In the room amazing coffee machine and mini bar with yogurt and water complimentary. The cleanliness and the size of the room with Super comfortable bed and pillows. Highly recommend!!
