− We had a very disappointing stay here for 3 nights. Be aware that someone may show up as a pool guy and head count you and makes sure to making you feel like you're constantly being watched. on the second day pool guy arrived without notice and counted us, and then added chemicals to the pool without letting us know, the pool became unusable for the entire day. he stayed around for nearly half a day. it was really uncomfortable having stranger around us specially with kids. he ruined the prime time we planned to enjoy. they even tried to charge us their routine pool-cleaning fee simply because we used water balloons near the pool, which felt unreasonable. It seemed like the hosts tried to cut cost everywhere even the dish sponge was cut in half, centre part of the BBQ was not operational etc... They also charged us a $100 pet fee, even though we didn’t bring a pet, and refused to refund it. after all these terrible experiences, no single apology followed. Overall, a very poor hospitality experience. Would not recommend.
Excellent host, wonderful property. Well maintained gardens and so peaceful.
9.0Plenty of space, the pool, the trees, the landscaping, the nature. Lots of kitchen utensils / pots / plates etc.
− Only small things- Not enough tea towels or garbage bin liners for our rubbish, not many bowls.
The outlook of place (acreage in a semi rural setting) was peaceful and lovely. The pool saved this property as it would
4.0The pool was the only reason I rated this property 4.
− The place was not clean. I work in the cleaning industry and this place just needed a good scrub. Lawns on entry was not done. Went to open window downstairs and the dust that fell off the gauze was disgusting. I went to use the mop As noticed the floors were dirty with feet marks all over tiles - and the mop in the laundry sink was filthy! And the sink looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The glass doors and windows in the home need a good clean. All we can see is the residue of past guests or people who have stayed there. The gauze in all windows need a good wash. The shower gel dispenser was empty and had mould in the bottom of the container. The tables and furniture need a good polish and sanitiser. The outdoor area had mosquitoes which is fine as we also leave on acreage but there were no coils or matches or anything to mitigate that. The bins in bathroom had no bin liner so we had to take trash outside. Then outdoor red bins lids were disgusting - if you want guests to take their own rubbish to the bin outside - pls ensure the red top and yellow top parts and handles are clean. I have photos but my rating will suffice. I paid for the whole house but couldn’t even pick out my 1 room out of the 6 - they were all locked except 3 bedrooms and when I asked Jay to say we wanted the front bedroom with balcony access - she said oh you can go downstairs and walk up the side and still use the balcony??!! Never again! No wifi - until I asked and she came the 2nd day. Electricity tripped and it was only iron on?? All in all we had a terrible stay. I wanted to check out as soon as we checked in but we had already spent $1900 for 3 days we stayed put. Next time we are staying at Eaton Hills Hotel.
Was a great place to stay when you need a large property to service a large number of guests
